We know change brings questions, so we have provided some FAQ’s below to help answer your questions about this switch.
I already registered on Volunteer Matrix, do I need to create a new registration profile in CERVIS?
Yes, you will need to create a new profile. The process is simple and takes no more than a few minutes.
I registered to volunteer in December on Volunteer Matrix, can I still access my profile?
Yes! A link has been provided on our website, habijax.org/volunteer. You’re able to access Volunteer Matrix through the end of December 2016. But, as of January 1, 2017, Volunteer Matrix will no longer be active.
Do I have to submit a new Liability Waiver to volunteer? And, can I do so electronically?
Liability Waivers will reset on January 1st of each year. If you signed a waiver at any point during the previous year, even just weeks before the end of the year, you’ll still need to sign a new one at the start of the new calendar year. A link to download a copy of the Liability Waiver will be included in your confirmation email after you’ve signed up to volunteer. It is a PDF fillable form, and we encourage you to submit your waiver electronically–either electronically sign, or print, sign, and scan the form back to the Event Coordinator listed on the email. If you feel more comfortable printing and filling the form out by hand, that’s ok. Just bring us your complete, signed, waiver when you come out to volunteer.
