“I am very honored and humbled to have the opportunity to lead this extraordinary organization as we look forward to our next chapter of growth and service to families in the Jacksonville community. This is truly a team that consistently delivers on its mission of putting God’s love into action by bringing people together to build homes, communities and hope,” stated Monte Walker. “Please join me in thanking our current President/CEO, Mary Kay O’Rourke for the incredible leadership and vision she has provided to HabiJax for many years. We wish Mary Kay and her family all the best as she retires and starts a new season in her life.”
“Monte has a proven track record in both the corporate business world and the nonprofit sector of providing excellent leadership, building strong relationships, engaging community partners, and delivering outstanding fund development results all with a strong personal focus on faith and integrity,” said Malcolm Jones III, HabiJax Board Chair. “We are confident this combination of skills, expertise, and personal character will help us and the families we serve as we build upon the legacy of success created by Mary Kay.”
