Become a Volunteer Team Leader

A Team Leader promotes the mission of Habitat for Humanity!

As a Team Leader, you will lead volunteers to complete tasks safely and with the highest level of quality, helping HabiJax in our mission to build affordable homes for Jacksonville families in need!

• Desire to serve the Jacksonville community
• Comfortable speaking to and leading groups of people
• Organized and proactive
• Willing to learn and share knowledge
• Available to volunteer as a leader 2-4 times a year

• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to lift 20 pounds, climb ladders and stairs, and stand for long periods of time

• Prepare for volunteer project
• Conduct a project briefing and safety talk
• Enforce safe and appropriate tool and equipment usage
• Manage any conflicts with skill and diplomacy
• Ensure an excellent volunteer experience

• Community involvement and an opportunity to meet and lead diverse groups of volunteers
• Hands-on training from HabiJax Construction and ReStore staff
• Leadership experience
• Invitations to attend home dedications

Available Shifts
• Construction: Thursday-Saturday, 7:00am – 4:00pm
• ReStore: Monday-Saturday, 9:00am – 1:30pm and 1:30pm – 6:00pm
